Hi there! I’m Jala — and let me tell you, I am one unpolished momma! My goal is to share a little of life with you to remind you that you are not the only one who shows up to soccer with your kids sporting spaghetti sauce goatees!
I spend my days with four amazing kids. They amaze me everyday with the questions they ask, the ways they learn, and their gentle faith in God. They also amaze me with the number of Cheerios they stuff into the cracks of their car seats, the amount of noise they can make, and the record-breaking volume of messes they can create in less than one minute. I get to homeschool our older two boys (something I never anticipated doing!) while hanging out with a little preschool man and a toddler princess.
My husband is a pastor to college students, and we spend oodles of time with them. They keep us young while reminding of us of how old we are.
And that’s me in a nutshell. My house is often sporting stacks of folded laundry, fingerprints on the glass doors, and Legos in the floor. It’s not perfect. I’m not perfect. My kids aren’t perfect. But then that’s the beauty of parenting — the imperfect redeemed by the Perfect. I am so glad to have Jesus to rely on in this parenting journey.
I am so glad you stopped by. Maybe we can chat sometime — you know, possibly even without being interrupted twelve times!
